I Am Proud To Be An American

Mar 27, 2012 by

I am proud to be an American because it afforded me the opportunity to know these individuals who have past and will never be recorded in any history books, but who have made important contributions to society that should never be forgotten.

Frank Camperlingo was magnanimous in giving to his fellow man and was my mentor in many ways.

Rick Eckles served his country, taught academic and life lessons as a teacher, and opened his home to those in need.

Hal Pfieffer coached with integrity and never turned his back on any student in need.

Julian Alexander gave the ultimate devotion to his family by trying to protect them with courage and wisdom beyond his years.

Nicholas Arriaga served two tours of duty in Iraq honorably, and was starting a civilian life when killed in an accident, reminding us to make the most of our time.

Why are you proud to be an American?
