I Am Proud To Be An American

I am proud to be an American because I am protected by brave men and women willing to “give the last measure of devotion” (Abraham Lincoln) to our Country.

I am proud to be an American because President Ronald Reagan was vigilant and willing to budget funds to rebuild our decaying armed forces to properly defend our nation.

I am proud to be an American because President Ronald Reagan’s strength of character and insightful foreign policy was instrumental in promoting and securing freedom around the world.

I am proud to be an American because at a time when our country was the most vulnerable President George Washington understood the need for isolationism.

I am proud to be an American because when the world was at the depths of self-destruction through nuclear warfare that President John Kennedy was calm and decisive in his handling of the Cuban missile crises.

I am proud to be an American because during our greatest internal crisis, the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln’s faithful execution of his duties upheld the principles of the Declaration of Independence and saved our nation.

Why are you proud to be an American?
