The Sun Is Rising

The stately chair used as our website logo is a representation of the one that George Washington sat in to conduct the business of the committee of the whole during the Constitutional Convention. It is said that while attending the Convention Benjamin Franklin, at times, wondered if the sun on the back of the chair was setting, symbolically indicating the end of our democratic experiment due to the philosophical disagreements of the delegates, or rising in glory toward a renewing of good government secured by the Constitution. Franklin was convinced that with the collaboration and compromise which became the spirit of the convention that the sun was definitely rising! We the founders of this site also believe, as Franklin did, that the sun is rising and we are committed to continue the revolution.
